Voices of Valor is a powerful 14-minute short documentary that honors the legacy of the Choctaw Code Talkers—brave soldiers whose sacred language became an unbreakable code during World War I. Featuring Chief Gary Batton, Nuchi Nashoba, Judy Allen, and other voices of remembrance, this film weaves together history, emotion, and cultural pride to inspire future generations. Through heartfelt storytelling and vivid imagery, Voices of Valor preserves the enduring spirit of courage, unity, and heritage that continues to guide Native communities today.

Halito,
My name is Ta’Na (T) Alexander, a proud Choctaw citizen and Indigenous film creator/director of Voices of Valor.
This 14-minute short documentary features Chief Gary Batton, Nuchi Nashoba, Judy Allen, and others. It delivers an emotional and powerful message meant to inspire the next generation through the importance of storytelling, honoring our legacy from past to future. Voices of Valor is a story of courage, unity, and remembrance, paying tribute to the Choctaw and Chickasaw Code Talkers of World War I.
This project has truly been a labor of love, and I’m honored to announce its official film debut — taking place in person and virtually on November 11th. The in-person screening will be held at the Native Nations Center at the University of Oklahoma, with a simultaneous Zoom virtual screening available. Event details and flyers attached.
I would love to be considered for film festival and looking into options to share this film and others in production in the near future. As a female director dedicated to carrying forward tradition and storytelling through the lens of film. I look forward to connecting
Yakoke, (deepest thanks)
